Creating a simple rule
- Go to "File"
"New Rule...".
- Enter rule name. Name will be displayed in the rule list, can be empty.
- Specify one or more input endpoints: input endpoint should be a hostname (or IP address),
which associated with one of local interfaces. If you want to specify all local network interfaces, enter an
asterisk ("*") instead hostname. TunnelEx will listen to these endpoints and accept
connection that will request connection with it. For example: endpoint with host
name "*" and port 80 schedules to accept all incoming network connection for port
80 (usually this port used for http-servers) on all network interfaces on your computer.
After connection will be accepted it will be redirected to the destination list.
- Specify one or more destination endpoints: destination endpoint can be local
or remote hostname (or IP address), which your
computer can access by network. TunnelEx will enumerate endpoints and connect to
first available. For example: two destination endpoints "first.remote.host:80" and
"second.remote.host:80". After TunnelEx will accept connection for one of input
endpoints, it will try to connect to the "first.remote.host", but if this host will
be inaccessible, it will connect with the "second.remote.host". So, application,
that has been connected with you computer, in truth, will communicate (send and
receive data) with the host "second.remote.host".
- Press OK button.
- Apply created rule: select just created rule and go to "Service"
"Apply Changes" (service will not work with changes until rule will not be applied).
- Start TunnelEx service, if it is not started yet: go to "Service"
"Start TunnelEx".
